Question by Meredith: How to get a substitute teaching job?
I graduated college in December with an elementary teaching degree. I have decided subbing is the optimal way to get my foot in the door for a full time position. I am registered at about 20 school districts, nonetheless cannot seem to get the sub call. I am wondering if there is anything else I can do to become more proactive in getting a sub job?

You?ve done what you need to do. The school year is winding down consequently you may not get many calls. In the meantime, call the schools and hound them?let them know you?re available. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
Trust me when I say you WILL get calls when flu season hits hard!
Been there, had to do that.
